To qualify as unknow the YouTube channel needs at least less than 100k subscribers and probably less than 50k as well. My vote goes to AutotopiaLA. This shop is located in the same neighborhood as Jay Leno’s (you actually see Jay in random videos), he drives old cars (not often done on YouTube) but he owns a new ZL1, and he is about to take his viewers on a video tour of his trip to Germany where the host plans to drive several retired GT3 cars.
That’s my vote anyway. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Hubnut, featuring all sorts of old tat. Not flashy, but tinkering on a budget and driving unusual cars that don’t get the appreciation they should.

Steveston Motor Co has a good channel and 15k subscribers. Mostly classic Mini content, but other stuff as well. They did a multipart trip to Japan that was very good and stands well alone.
Recently found Welker Farms, they have more than your cutoff as far as subscribers , but they have an interesting perspective on restoring classic vehicles of all sorts.
as far as planelopnik goes, Kermit Weeks is a good example of what would likely happen to me if I had more money than I could spend. Minus the pony tail.

Robbert Alblas. Short, beautifully-shot videos. Think Petrolicious, but without the interview bits. He doesn’t seem to post regularly, but what’s there is worth watching. Extra good if you have an ultrawide monitor.

SOUP Classic Motoring. Honestly I don’t understand how he doesn’t have a million followers. His work is awesome, the production quality is high, and all his restoration work is done in stop motion. Its mesmerizing.

He's not unknown, but Scott Newstead at Cold War Motors d eserves to be way more popular than he is. He should at least be even with that other Scott.

Smith & Sniff is still pretty small (about 10k subs) and they’re hilarious
